I will state up front that I believe that it is not Rev A.

I switched to Sprint from T-Mobile due to T-Mobile's broadband foot-dragging. I have had a Sprint business phone before so basicly I had little complaints about their service.

From day one I have been mislead about the capabilities of my Sanyo 8400 phone. (in terms of Rev A) I absolutely love every aspect of this phone, with the exception of Rev A. (2gb micro flash modules rule)

Their reps swore up and down that this was the one phone that was Rev A. (I indicated that this was a factor of gaining my business)
Sprint still claims that the phone is Rev A. They point to their internal taxonomy that specifies the 8400's capabilities as Advanced EVDO.

who knows!?

Anyone from Sprint care to weigh in on this?

Given that I signed a 2 year contract that locks me into a non-Rev A phone I am extreamly pissedoff.

Depending on how Sprint handles this I am going to explore my legal options. I could care less about paying the fees to break the contract, its the being mislead part that bothers me.

Sprint, if you monitor these forums like you should, then you need to make every effort to supply your employees with up to date whitepapers regarding your products capabilities.

The SCP-8400 was introduced around Oct 1 2006, that is even before Rev A was available. Sprint was the first to announce/deliver Rev A, first to deliver a Rev A EVDO Connetion card, but as of today, nobody has delivered a EVDO Rev A phone. It will happen this year, BUT as of this posting, there isn't a Rev A phone that you can purchase.

Hopefully you are witin 30 days of purchasing and you can easily cancel.
