Has anyone experienced their PC card metal piece (towards the side of the card where the card touches the router) get damaged due to the WRT54G-ST? At first I thought my S720 cards were bad design, but whenever I placed them in my KR1, the metal piece does not come up. On my Junxion, it sort of comes ups, but not as bad as the WRT54G-ST. I know it's a little hard to explain without pictures, but hopefully you get the picture.

The damage isn't from the router. There were some problems with *some* S720s. We have seen the problem a few times. If you purchased your S720 from us, contact our support department and they can help.

When I got my new s720 I inserted it it didnt feel right. I looked down the slot and could see not only that the metal binding on my s720 was pulled away from the surface of the card, but it caught a metal retaining clip that surrounds and protects the PCMCIA pins inside my router. I cant believe that the pins were not bent or destroyed.

I was not willing to go another 6 weeks for a replacement router after waiting 12 weeks for them to sell me the correct card. I took the router apart and removed the metal retaining clip from the inside of my router.

It works fine now, although I am scared every time i GENTLY insert my card into the router.
