How can I use a Mac Mini on an Alltel E815 EVDO cell phone?

EVDO Newbie here and I have a question. I have an Alltel Motorola E815 EVDO cell phone with a USB cable and the Axcess PC software. It works great hooked up to my wife's PC. However, I want to be able to use my Mac Mini (OS-X) and connect it to the internet through the EVDO cell phone. Alltel's Axcess software is for a PC not for a Max. So what do I need to do this?

I know absolutely less than nothing about Macs but I would guess you would treat it as whatever is comparable to Windows DUN (Dial Up Networking)

Treat it as a modem with the dial up number as #777 the username is your 10 digit phone number @alltel.com and you'll obviously know your password. Hope this helps!! If not feel free to totally chunk it out the window.
