Most technical forums are used to get help to a specific problem OR issue that you may be having with a product that you are using. Users that are experiencing problems will usually post the topic. The fact is, people that are happily using EVDO without ANY problems, are (usually) never heard.
Until Now...
We want to have a forum on EVDOforums, where you can post your success stories for new EVDO users to read. Don't let them think because there is a lot of traffic up here, that everyone is having problems. Based on our experiences, probably 95% of EVDO users are using their devices and are extremely happy!
Rules for posting:
1) Post only success stories (if you have an issue/problem, post to one of the other forums).
2) Normal EVDOforums Rules apply for your post.
3) If you got your gear from 3Gstore.com, OK to mention that
4) Do not post negative posts to someones positive posts (they will be deleted).
The purpose on this new forum, is to share all success stories with new users, who are investigating EVDO. All the other forums up here are for all other topics.
If you have a unique use for EVDO, be sure to post your story. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

You guys went far beyond what I call "the call of duty" helping me get the correct equipment with the firmware already loaded in my Cradlepoint MBR1000--so I could use it on my iMac, HP Photosmart C7280 printer and old PC desktop. (E-mail support was superb too).
THANKS, Alex for all your help. I'm as happy as a clam. This router does
everything that I wanted it too and more. I love it even more than a
Linksys "N" that I used to have. I'm glad I didn't wait around for
the Kyocera KR2 that everyone was telling me that I should.
The adapter pigtails work perfectly too. I may have to order an
extension cable from you, if I can't locate the one I have somewhere
stowed away in a cable box. That little pigtail allows me to use my
Wilson Truckers cell antenna and raised the signal quality from a
questionable 3 to a solid 4.
Thanks again for all your help in getting me what I needed. You guys
are worth your weight in GOLD. _________________ Gypsy John |

I was forced back to EVDO after having 10Meg cable Internet. This happened because the house I moved into was never wired for cable so I was looking at a sizeable amount to run cable TV/Internet to my house. I opted for EVDO with Sprint since my new house is about three fourths of a mile from their cellsite. The drop in speed was not as painful as I thought during average activities such as browsing, video, and music streaming. Sure downloads take longer but it's OK. So far Sprint's Rev A network at home and along the west coast has been awesome. Traveling from San Diego to Seattle on the I-5 corridor I had continous solid Rev A coverage with only pockets of 1XRTT in Southern Oregon.
Since I bought a Nokia N810 tablet I bought a PHS300 router for running off of Wifi. That has been a purchase worth every penny as the performance on it has far exceeded my expectations. It's amazing how the performance actually increased when running the connection over the router's Wifi.
The only time I did need some assistance from 3G store Torrey was very courteous and knowledgeable and quickly guided me through settings on my router. |

I live in a rural area where cable or DSL is not available. Most people around here have dial up service and a few have satellite internet. We had purchased new cell phones and a Sierra Wireless 595U Aircard. The new service was better than dial up but our reception was not very good, sometimes leading to dropped connections. While surfing the web I found the EVDOinfo site and purchased the omnidirectional external antenna from the 3GStore. Once connected our reception was improved dramatically. The wife and I however had to share our connection by sharing the Aircard. So then I purchased a MBR 1000 router from the 3GStore, I am now connected by ethernet on my desktop and the wife has a wireless connection for her laptop. This is the first time I set up a network like this and everything is working great! Thank you EVDOinfo and 3GStore for finally allowing us to have broadband. Your service is exceptional! Keep up the good work! |
