|
|
I need a device that will function as a pda but also as a wireless modem (that will allow me to access VPN -- * THIS IS CRITICAL *). I am in the DC metro area, if that makes any difference in terms of from which provider I'll get the best service.
Any suggestions people can offer in terms of: (1) which device to get; and (2) which service to go with will be useful. Pricing information would also be good to know.
Thanks. |

I don't know what service is best for you but my experience with the Blackberry 8703e using Sprint has been very positive.
We purchased two of them after having much success with a Sprint data card (amazing data service IMO) and find them to be very solid, a great PDA and email device, and they work well as a modem though we don't use ours very much for that; have 1 data card already.
Cost? $50-$100 for the 8703e after rebates for new customers + $40/month for unlimited data including unlimited PAM (phone as modem usage) + any voice plan you select.
