No problems installing or using - Sprint Broadband. I tried benchmarks @ two locations: my home in Suffolk County, Long Island and work in Long Island City NY. Signals were about -85 to -90 dbm; throughput during the day averaged 1200k down and 500 - 700kbs up. I installed latest HP bios (F.22) and all MS updates before installing the card. I did not tune the IP stack yet (recv window = 128k). Used with latest Sprint Connection Manager (3.08.013).
Note: I also purchased a Dlink DIR-450 and could not test yet, I have ordered from Sprint their Express Card / PCMCIA adapter (I really hope it's the Novatel) - I will test when it shows up. The 450 has a firmware upgrade to support the x720 line (U720, S720) so I'm hoping the driver for these will work with the EX720 in the router

Did you happen to try the ex720 in the DIR-450? I can't find anyone on here who says they did test it in that particular router, only in the KR1.

I have one on the way myself and I'm curious to see if it is capped at 500mbps like it is in the KR1.

I'm trying to decide between the AC595 and the ex720, but if the ex720 is capped, well, the AC595 stays.

(I'm still within my satistfaction period for the card.)

DIR-450 is running like a champ with the AC595, but my main two laptops are expresscard, but I had to drag out one of my older ones to set it up, and will need to do that for any firmware updates, I 'spect. I just can't deal with having my connection speed more than halved for the convenience of not having to carry around the router when I'm traveling alone.

Hi.
I DID NOT get this working in the 450, I loaded the latest firmware. I used the Novatel EX/PCMCIA adapter, but I just could not get the card to attach to Sprint's net. I phoned both DLINK & SPRINT - they were lost(why am I not suprised). I ended up returning the 450, I'm going to buy a KR1 or one of the Top Global routers (I do use VPN). DLINK did not indicate if/when firmware will support the EX720 in an adapter; I tried to flash KR1 firmware into the 450 - no luck.
Good Luck to you
