Recently I picked up the Linksys router (WRT54G3G-ST with the latest firmware) to stop from having to use ICS to share my internet connection. I've only had the router for about a day but I am noticing a loss of internet connectivity quite frequently. By loss of internet connectivity I mean that I can't surf or run a ping test even though my router is showing that my card is connected and logging into the router confirms this. I have to disconnect and reconnect the router for internet connectivity to come back. Sometimes after reconnecting the router, it only takes 5 minutes for me to lose connectivity again. Other times the connection stays good for an hour or 2. This is with a computer that has a direct Ethernet connection into the router. I have a really strong signal so that shouldn't be an issue. I have played around with the automatic disconnect time but that doesn't seem to help at all. When I had my Pantech PX-500 connected to my laptop, it would keep a solid connection. Has anyone else had a Pantech PX-500 that would keep a solid connection? If so, did you have to update any router settings for it to work? I'm trying to determine if I have a bad router or if I just need to return this router because it doesn't work right for this card. Any feedback or insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
