|

I have the Verizon V640 expresscard and I currently use it with a Macbook Pro.
I am thinking about purchasing a Dell M1210 and curious whether I would be able to use this card with that laptop also?
According to the specs, it looks like the V640 only supports XP and OSX, but the V740 supports Vista and OSX. I need to purchase Vista on the M1210, so will I need to get the other card?
Thanks for you help. _________________ T60 - 2007-76U |

Thanks for the reply Alex.
I kind of thought that Vista might have support for WWAN cards built in like OSX does? _________________ T60 - 2007-76U |

Built-in means software has been installed.
Both native drivers for PowerBooks and Intel Macs were not installed and had to be downloaded.
Sometimes a system update does this for you.
It has normally taken Apple 3 months or so to deliver the software to make the phone cards work. I have used them since the C120. |

Have you tried running Windows on your MacBook Pro? You can run XP navtively in Boot Camp, which requires a reboot, or use Parallel's virtualization software and run it in a window in OSX, a bit slower and eats memory. |
