|
|
When I loaded the Novatel driver for the U720, it created a modem config for each USB port - which is stupid of course. Does anyone else have this problem? I have to choose the correct config for the port I am plugged into at the time or I get the message that the device is not available. That is so PC - in more ways than one!
Here's the rub though - I was connected just now to the correct config and it disconnected for some reason. When I clicked on 'connect' the correct config connected however the other one started dialing and dialing and dialing. So one of the configs was connected and the other one was dialing all at the same time. Is there any suggestions out there on how to correct this? I could go back to Mac.Intosh's driver because it didn't do that but I assume it would be better to stay with Novatel's. Ideas? |

Apple has released two software packages to work with broadband cards. One about a year or less ago for the PowerBooks and one a month or so ago to work with Intel Macs. Download the correct one and delete the other software and modem files. Then install Apple's. |

I have a PPC so the release of a month ago won't work on my machine - which is a whole other discussion. I am running the latest OS 10.4.9 so I'm sure all the drivers would be up to date.
Although, perhaps I should uninstall the Novatel driver and reinstall it. I haven't done that since I upgraded to 10.4.9. Does anyone know if that is/is not a waste of time? |
