| All 4 of these laptops are having the same issue and I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. Durring a data connection the activity arrows in access manager keep showing data in the up direction but nothing comes down. The user presses the disconnect button and Access Manager wont respond the only way to remedy the situation is to "turn WWAN off" and the turn it back on. This is happening in evdo coverage as well as 1x coverage and in well covered areas so I'm confident that this is a hardware or software issue. We are running the latest driver and software versions from the HP site. I thought about uninstalling Access Manager and the HP drivers and putting the Sierra Wireless drivers on a machine and trying that but I am unable to find those drivers. Any thoughts? |

I have had similar issues with my nc6400.
However, it seems (for me) to be when there are many requests flowing through the card (heavy traffic due to sharing) and limited to certain time frames. I had about a three week period where once I received a stable connection, I tried everything to keep it. Now, about a month later, there seems to be only the intermittent problem...
However, my solution was the same, in that I was power cycling the card.
If you wait about 30 seconds, it will come back to life too.
The other item that helped me (since I use ICS) was to turn off the ability to autodial. For me that helped. Even without ICS setup, I believe some applications will try to establish a connection (I.E. for example.) Try disabling this behavior.
Also, please know that I have been fiddling with mine for a while, and I'm still not sure if the above helped or if the service has gotten better in my area. If you do find something that helps, please post it beck here.
