Have anybody had any experience with the ZTE Bavo H110 Router?
(FYI, I am not connected in any way with the manufacturer or a reseller of this product.)
It's a 4 port EVDO router that includes wifi and an ethernet wan port. What's intriguing to me is is the additional features. It also includes two VOIP lines and a third line for routing calls to a landline. It also allows you to configure multiple multiple LANS (one for each lan port) and to have different SSID configured for each LAN. Also present are QOS, bluetooth, and print server.
I've purchased one to try it out to see what I can do with it. I'm interested in hearing if other people have had experience with it also.
My initial reaction is positive, although I ran into some initial problems which I believe came from interference from the EVDO and Wifi being on at the same time. I didn't have those problems if either one was turned off. I plan to hook up an external antenna to see if it resolves the issues. |

We have been evaluating one of these unit for the past few months. Our main goal was to check out compatibility with cards and different OS's.
At this time, we were not impressed with the number of cards supported and we let the manufacturer know that this would be a problem with the success of the device.
At some point, if future firmware supports the latest EVDO Cards, we will look at the product again and reconsider to sell and support it. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I've gotten it configured and working with a Sprint S720 without any problems. I am able to connect via RevA without any dropoff from having it plugged in directly in the laptop.
An external antenna took care of the issues I was having with wireless. Both evdo and wireless seem to work well together now. |

Hello everyone, I'm Jon with Win-Win Works just checking in here at EVDO Forums. I'll do my best to answer your questions here but soon we should have mybavo.com up as the support and user forum.
There IS a firmware upgrade available and I'll get that up on mybavo.com ASAP.

I'm not a networking expert but am interested in using a BAVO for a wireless setup.
Can the 802.11 section of the Bavo be configured in "Client Mode" or, can a wireless ethernet bridge (or client-mode configured router) be fed into the Bavo's WAN port?
I have a requirement to set up a low cost wired LAN hub/router that can get a broadband connection from either a WiFi hotspot or from a EVDO broadband card.
The Bavo would be ideal if I could configure the WiFi section as client mode, connect to the WiFi hotspot, and share the broadband on its LAN ports. Then when no wifi is available, switch to the EVDO card in the Bavo.
If it cannot be configured in client mode, could I still feed it's WAN port with an Ethernet bridge or a client mode configured router, and switch to the EVDO card when needed?
