I'm about to get an employer-paid Blackberry from Verizon and am curious about the type of data plan I would need to get for unlimited EVDO use, including modem tethering when I am paged. Our purchasing rep tells me that we would need to get an additional $30 package for "wireless broadband" on top of a normal unlimited data plan. This doesn't make sense to me, as it implies that EVDO access warrants an extra charge. FWIW, this would be for a business acct. Is that $30 extra charge really necessary?
