|
|
EVDO may not be significantly impaired by a rainy day but Speedtest.net was. My present unsubstanitated theorey is that something impaired the Java functions.
I have a hot button in Safari that opens about 10+ web pages, each in a different tab. I use it a lot so I am familiar with how fast everything opens or doesn't open.
There was a light rain today, dark clouds but no lightning.
During the rain my tabs opened at fairly normal speed but Speedtest.net hiccuped, coughed and died wheezing. 10 minutes later after the rain stopped, Speedtest.net ran smoothly and produced its standard result up and down.
So, I thought, I wonder if there is anything in the java that could be disturbed by slight delays that might be caused by the rain drops that wouldn't be a big problem with a url or email. I have since convinced myself that this is indeed a possibility.
I am going to forward this email to Speedtest.net and see if they have any answer. |
