Hotmail Problems Receiving Emails from EVDOforums.com

An EVDOforums user notified us of problems getting notifications via hotmail.

We checked into it and there is a problem.

Anyone, initiallity signing up will never receive their confirming email (that you need to click on to activate your account).

For those that are on hotmail and were previously registered, you will not get any "watch emails" for threads you are watching.

Why?

Our server is sending out the emails and hotmail is receiving them, but not delivering them.

We isolated the problem to some new helpdesk software we installed a few weeks ago, the software was sending out emails with "incorrect headers", it got our server blacklisted at http://cbl.abuseat.org/, which prevented mail from being received. We quickly isolated and fixed the problem and all email resumed and all problems resolved, except Hotmail. Normally, it takes 1-4 hours for email to resume, we fixed the problem 7 days ago, but Hotmail is not accepting outgoing email from the EVDOforums.com box.

Unfortunately, there isn't anything we can do, the solution is:

- contact Hotmail on our behalf and have them make sure they can receive email from 209.242.15.83

or

- sign up for a Gmail account, it doesn't have any problems.

BTW, we signed up for a new hotmail account to test, and we never received the EVDOforums notification of our new account - so we never could click on the link in the email to activate it.

Also, for anyone placing an order, having a help ticket or emailing anyone in our company, there isn't a problem, it only appears to be the EVDOforums.com box from sending emails.
