Sony UX380N / Verizon/Sprint USB Modem - VISTA - HELP!!!!

We just picked up a Verizon and Sprint USB Modem cards (one for me, one for my wife). My wife had a Sony UX 180 running XP Pro and the Verizon card loaded fine with VZManager; however, when we tried loading the Verizon card (and Sprint card) to the Sony UX380 running Vista, the card is recognized by Vista and Vista loads the drivers, but NO NETWORK is Found. We receive a 711 and 1068 error messages, which under XP means that TELEPHONY and REMOTE ACCESS is not activated under Services. We tried to manually turn these services on, but Vista will not let us.

Any idea how to get the modem to set up a network or start these services?? Verizon , of course, blams Sony, Sony blames Vista dn Vista blames Apple! (only kidding)

On the Vista System (using Vista Business myself) uninstall anything your have installed

Download the ver 3.08.013 from here http://www.sprint.com/pcsbusiness/support/downloads/index.jsp

Install with this DL instead of the disk that came with the U720.
