Merlin EX720 and KR1 Compatibility Info

The current KR1 + RK1008 firmware works with the Merlin EX720 and the ExpressCard Adapter.

There is a performance issue though. We are not seeing full speed, the top speed is 450Kbps - 500kbps. This is the same issue that the Merlin S720 had when it came out, however, it does work. The speed issue is identical to: Novatel Ovation U720 / USB720 and KR1 Compatibility Info

Any update on this? I have an EX720 and would love to get a router that works with it.

The latest firmware update, RK1010, fixed the upload issue with the Novatel Ovation U720 / USB720 mentioned in the OP so it may have fixed the same problem with the Merlin EX720 and the ExpressCard Adapter. Check with 3GsStore to see. That's a good question though.

The only ExpressCard that is likely to work with KR1 is Kyocera's own KPC680, whenever they finally get the adapter released.

The EX720 works great with TopGlobal MB6000 and MB6800 using expresscard to pcmcia adapter.
