I purchased a Dell XPS M1210 with The A/V package but waited to install the mini pci card later.(you must order the A/V package (cam and internal antenna) if you plan to add the card later) It was a snap. Finally Dell lowered the price for the Dell 5700 mini pci for Sprint(Novatel Wireless Expedite EV620) from $279 to $179. I was offered free overnight shipping aswell. Total cost was $193 for Texas Tax. This is a rev 0 card and I can only hope a rev A card will be offered sometime in 2007. I plan to wait until Rev A is thoughout the country first though. I am a current Sprint Broadband customer and had to call to do an ESN swap from my S620 to the mini pci. Works just about the same as the S620 but you just don`t see the card.

I also purchased the mini card for my m1210............I already have sprint and just called sprint to activate...............works great........no EVDO in my area.............BUT I only use the service when I cant us anything else................I spend a lot of time in rual areas. I also have to say that the m1210 with the mini card is getting better speed than my other laptop with the Pantech 500 pcicia card. Must be the antenna in the m1210 Very Happy

I also bought a m1210 two months ago with the A/V package and called Dell yesterday to order the mini card for Sprint. I was quite suprised when they told me that they didn't sell the Sprint mini card separately (only Cingular and Verizon) and that you could only get it when ordering you initial system... Question Rolling Eyes

Did you guys manage to order it separately?

when I ordered mine the sales rep said the same thing......So I Rased Billy Hell........So he sold me the card that goes to the m65
I think all the cards for sprint are the same..........this is the card I put in my m1210.........430-2209 Dell Wireless 5700-SP Built-inEVDO Mini-Card for Sprint, Dell Precision M65, Cust Install ...........As you can see .......says the card is for a m65............they just got differnt part numbers so they can keep track of how many go into each kind of note book. The only thing that matters is that you get a card for sprint.......because when you activate the esn has to match sprint numbers or sprint will not activate

You're right. I called them back and talked to a rep who was more familiar with the situation and ordered the following product for my M1210:

Dell Wireless 5700-SP Built-in
EVDO Mini-Card for Sprint
Dell Latitude D420/620/D820
Cust Install

Cool
