FYI...
If you run Virtual PC on your PowerBook, the EVDO cards are not emulated fully, so you cannot activate your EVDO card, you still need a real PC for that (currently you can only activate a PC5220 directly on your PowerBook).
The problem, is under networking of Virtual PC, there isn't an option to select the PC Card and/or the PCMCIA slot is not fully emulated under VirtualPC software.
Here is something to try though...
Under the COM1 port settings, an inserted EVDO Card, does show up in the "Mac Serial Port" listing. This means that it probably will allow your EVDO card to work as a modem while under VirtualPC.
If anyone gives it a try, please post your results here. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I think we do not have to use in this way.
because one connection is connected in OS X.
VPC can share it. |

Sorry brain dead yesterday.
Under the networking setting, if you have "Shared Networking" configured, Virtual PC will share your EVDO connection. I just tested and was able to use Internet Explorer in VPC. When I went to http://MyIPAddress.com, sure enough it wasn't my IP, but a Verizon one.
So, of course, the BroadbandAccess connection can be shared in Virtual PC (activation still doesn't work though as of Version 7.0.1) _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |
