I am considering going with Spring EV DO and am trying to figure out if I can set it so that I can use it both as my home connection and as my mobile connection.

When you but a plan is it always associated with just a single pcmica card, usb device, etc. So that that single device is the only one that I can use on that plan?

If so, I can solve that at home with a wireless router. But when I leave the house I have to disconnect my pcmicia card from the router, take it with me and disable the home system?

Do you understand my question? Essentially, when I am mobile, I would want the home access to be there for the rest of my family---is there a way to do this with a single plan? Thanks, I have learned that forums like this is the best bet for learning about this stuff and appreciate any help anyone is generous enough to give. Thanks.

Sorry, but once you take the EVDO device (card or usb) out of the router, the home will no longer have internet access via EVDO.

though you can switch devices when you want to, each line of service on a plan can only have one active device.

You can have one PLAN with two lines of service (2 cards).

No, you can have one BILL with two lines of service (2 cards), BUT you will be billed $59.99 X 2. No way, to have 2 card activate at ONE time if you are paying $59.99/mo

Although you could have the same plan for each card Razz But as you said, that's by paying 59.99 per line (card).
