First post, and first day on my u720 and loving it coming from satellite.

I was wondering if there was an SMTP server setting to receive POP3 email from my email account different from sprint and satellite. I don’t have a sprint email account as far as I know?

I have my pop3 and SMTP settings for logging in, but as any ISP you have to use the SMTP from their email server to receive yours (if they allow relaying).

Sprint does provide access to an outgoing SMTP e-mail server if your e-mail provider does not allow you to send while connected to Sprint's network. And yes, Sprint allows relaying, of course.

You can setup SMTP access after setting up your online account management access at http://www.sprint.com/index.html

It ask for my phone number which I put in from the Device Info, and says it will send a text message? Sorry for being a noob, but ... I don’t have a phone to receive this.

Edit: Never mind called support and all is good.
