Kyocera 650 Mac OS X 10.3.9

I recently purchased the Kyocera 650 card and have been using the card on my Titanium Powerbook running 10.3.9 perfectly fine. However recently my wife and I purchased a new Aluminum powerbook (1.67GHz) and have reinstalled 10.3.9 to replace the 10.4os. We then ran the installer patch for the Kyocera 650, except that after running the installer we can't get the Kyocera card to work other than for the blue light to come on. I believe I did all the same steps that I did on my older titanium powerbook to get the Kyocera650 to work fine there.

So I started over and reinstalled the Apple 5220 driver,. then installed the patch (from EVDOinfo.com),.. with no success to get the card to work. Please help.
