I attempted a firmware upgrade to 1008 version and thought all went well. When I cycled the power all I got was the power light and an orange status indicator. I followed the post on "unbricking" by TZ1 but I cannot access the "firmware upload recovery page". I do have a pinging lan light when cable is connected. I tried my newer laptop and older pc. I tried disabling all connections and firewalls accept lan. I tried firefox and ie 7. It just won't find the ip address. I tried when in reset mode (status light flashing green) and tried when power was recycled and have an orange status light, green power and pinging lan. I just can't communicate with this thing. I tried the upgrade because I was having network dropouts about every 15 mins. I bought this unit new (sealed) from e-bay about 3 months ago, so I don't know if I am eligible for any support from Kyrocera.

Complete instructions are available at: http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/kr1-router/pdf/kr1_router_firmware_recovery.pdf

Ensure that you use Internet Explorer as Firefox will not work correctly.

That was very helpful. Seems the step I missed was to enter the gateway address. after that i had access to the recovery page and successfully "unbricked" my kr1. Unfortunately it still drops out of the network every few minutes, even with a good stutus light. Thank You!

But to me this is not helpful ... Sad Doing everything according to the document (kyocera-wireless.com/kr1-router/pdf/kr1_router_firmware_recovery.pdf), but every time I get a response "Wrong image file" or "Upgrade Failed, Please try again !" Shocked . IE6, WinXPsp2. I absolutely don''t have any ideas to restore device... Crying or Very sad Maybe try JTAG programming Question , but it will need a flash dump, which I do not have.
