I'm buying some land down here in SE Georgia right on the St. Mary's river (which is the SE Ga. & Fl. border) It's 28 acres and about 20 acres of it is a cypress swamp/jungle. Totally untouched land. What has this to do with EVDO you're asking? (And you're probably wondering why in the world would anybody buy a swamp . . . and on purpose at that?) Well, yesterday I met my realtor and the listing agent on the property. They were missing some docs we needed and low and behold I had a full signal with my Alltel PC5740 card and my KR1 plugged into the cigarette lighter! Absolutely way too cool being literally out in the swamp pulling down a DSL speed internet connection and quickly downloading a jpg of the plat emailed by one of their assistants and checking out the online tax records while at the same time a wild boar was crashing through the undergrowth not 20 yards from us and an eagle soared over our heads. Privacy, wildlife, and more. That's the answer to the second question above.

All I can say is WOW!! Oh yeah, two more EVDO customers were born as the agents were blown away and each plan to be ordering their cards next week as well. Entirely way too cool!
