EVDOmaps Filtering and Cool New Options

Later tonight, we will be adding some pretty cool new features to EVDOmaps.com. We will let everyone know when they are available.

Ability to compare, hide based on carrier or type of service.

Ability to filter the data by fastest, state, comparison of carriers.

As we get even more data, we will add more useful filters (e.g. slowest EVDO Rev 0 areas, slowest EVDO Rev A areas, etc).

Please keep posting your results.

If anyone has a great idea for a "quicklink" to add to the site, please let us know!

Don't forget.. you aren't limited to posting just ONE result. It would be great if as you move around, you would be so kind as to post as many test results as you can.

Maybe we should hold a competition to see who can post the most widespread set of records in a month.

Any takers? What kind of prize would motivate you to do it?

It would be nice if it were a bit easier to post a new entry. Maybe when creating a new entry, all of the options from the previous entry could be defaulted into place. It would also be nice if the GPS capabiltity of the connection card could be used for the address information rather than having to translate it manually. I think more people would post more results if it took less time to do.

The only fields that I could see being useful to "prefill" would be Carrier and Device. All the other fields are based on your location and speed at your location and that would be different for each posting.

I can no longer load the page in Firefox 1.5. But IE works fine.
