| I know this will sound crazy, but the cable worked great, and after i did the last update, the card did not work with the cable? I have no clue as to why it wouldn't. Any thoughts? |

That is odd. The only thing the 'Y' cable does is provide more DC current to the U720, and change the RF/EM environment somewhat (by moving the U720 away from the computer).
So unless the update effected the allowed amount of DC current, I would be prone to wonder about cable or USB port failure. |

I had a problem with the update failing and finally traced it to NOT using an admin account to do the update. |

| Anyone else had a problem with this? The Sprint drivers seem to have broken the connectivity for me through the Y-cable. The modem works just fine when connected directly though. And to make things more puzzzling, there clearly is power being provided by the cable, as the modem lights up when connected. I just get an error that the device isn't connected. I might be willing to chalk it up to a bad port, except the behavior is the same on three separate computers that the Y-cable worked with prior to installing the Sprint drivers. This includes a PowerBook, a MacBook and a MacBook Pro. Guess I'll try deleting the Sprint drivers and reinstalling the Mac.Intosh one. |

this might be a duh type of thing, but maybe its just the cable that is bad?
try another usb device thorugh the cable and/or try a different cable |

Any of you having issues with the 'Y' cable:
If you're only using one of the USB plugs on the 'Y' end, make sure you're inserting the plug attached to the thicker cable (that's the one that connects both power and data). Your U720/USB720 will not work if you only insert the USB plug that is attached to the thinner cable.
Also, Windows and Macs load drivers per USB port, meaning you may have conflicts moving your U720/USB720 from one USB port to another (or require configuring dialing settings for the new port). If you're using both ends of the 'Y' cable, try swapping them in the adjacent USB ports if the U720/USB720 doesn't appear to work. |

| Well I tried connecting using a third party USB extender and nothing. No change. This sucks. Everything was working fine before the "official" Sprint driver release. Grrrr. |
