SAN DIEGO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 14, 2006 -- Franklin Wireless Corp. (Other OTC:FKLT.PK - News), a leading developer and marketer of wireless broadband communications devices and applications, announced the launch of the Franklin Wireless CDX-650 mobile broadband Express Card-34 modem on South and North American carriers' networks.
The Franklin Wireless CDX-650 Express Card-34 modem will be available through South American carriers in the first quarter of 2007. The Express card is designed to fit in the 34mm version of the Express Card slot that comes with most PC laptops and high end Mac laptops produced today. The modem is backward compatible with widely available CDMA2000 1x networks and supports data-only EV-DO mobile broadband services with a peak downlink speed of 2.4 Mbps.
The CDX-650 offers laptop users another means of connecting to CDMA 1xEV-DO high-speed mobile broadband services enabling them to send and receive email with large file attachments, play real-time interactive games, receive and send high-resolution pictures and video, download video and music content or stay wirelessly connected to their office PCs using the same mobile device.
"The introduction of CDX-650 Express Card modem and the recent launch of CDU-550 USB modem in the USA and Mexico demonstrate Franklin's continuing effort to enhance multi-platform computer users' access to mobile broadband services," said O.C. Kim, President of Franklin Wireless.
Franklin Wireless products are marketed through Original Equipment Manufacturers ("OEMs") and distributors, as well as directly to operators and end users. |
Please note, if this is only a Rev 0 device (as indicated) and not a Rev A device, Franklin will not sell many of these _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |
