Has anyone successfully connected their Razr to their Powerbook via USB and connected to the Internet? If so, how? Is there a driver available?

When I connect the two, the Razr does not show up in the Network Pref Pane.

I also have not been able to connect to the internet via Bluetooth, but I can connect the devices via Bluetooth.

Thanks for any assistance!

Michael,

I have searched the site, and I can find nothing on using a Powerbook and a Razr to access the internet via Sprint. Sorry if I am missing something obvious, but could you please point me to the infomration you mentioned. Also, I have seen info about using VZAccess Manager to connect to Sprint, but I do not have a Verizon Accoount. Is there another source for a USB driver?

Thanks for your assistance.

Rodney

Sorry, I have only done it with a Verizon RAZR, I don't have a Sprint RAZR for testing.

Rodney, check out http://www.taniwha.org.uk/

There are connection scripts and information on getting OS 9 and X to work with current motos. Hain't tested it, but I've found his GSM scripts invaluable.

Michael,

Sorry if this is a dense question, I just started surfing this forum for info on an upcoming BlackBerry/Treo purchase. I currently have a Verizon RAZR, and never could get it to link up with my laptop. I searched far and wide, but everything I read said that Verizon hopelessy crippled the bluetooth and modem capabilities of their phones.

Can you point me to a tutorial on making this work?

Thanks!

I posted a how-to guide for using a Razr with VZAccess on Mac OS X. However; for some reason it has to be 'moderated' first for some reason? Can someone please moderate it & allow the post?

Oh, and bluetooth is possible with a razr & VZAccess...I've gotten it to work.

My original "how-to" post still hasn't been posted. As when I submitted it, it stated that it would have to be moderated first. For some reason the content filter found something wrong with my post. I'm not sure why as it didn't contain any offensive material.

I tried PMing Michael for assistance with this problem, however; I am unable to send any PMs due to the fact that I have less than 10 posts. Could someone please see to it that my how-to guide gets posted? As I think it would be VERY useful information to those who are trying to use a Motorola Razr with Verizon's service on Mac OS X.

When I connect my Razr to my PowerBook G4 via USB, and try to dial out using #777, I get "Error #67 Registration Failed. Your PowerVision username and/or password may be incorrect. Please try again." This leads me to believe that I have the proper drivers. What do I need to put in the username and password fileds to get connected. With my old Sanyo phone with Vision, I would leave these fields blank.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
