Alltel and Motorola Q

Does anyone know if Alltel will ever offer the Motorola Q? I know Verizon and some other carriers are selling it but not Alltel.

It's not remotely official but I have read on other forums that Alltel originally scheduled it to be released in mid-January but then it was pushed back to mid-February. These same sources were right about Alltel's release dates for the Treo 700wx and 700p FWIW so let's hope . . . . . . . .

That is good news! Any idea on why they have delayed the deployment?

No idea whatsoever. Couldn't even speculate. Usually someone on one of the forums is either testing a "soon to come" unit or someone knows someone who's testing. Haven't heard anything like that yet.

I have called Alltel and stopped by several of the stores over the past month. Apparently, Alltel is having difficulty getting the Q to work on the Alltel network. If you are waiting on a Q on the Alltel network you may have to wait until they resolve the issues. Based on one of my discussions with them it does not look good.

It's been pushed back several times. The latest I've heard is the 15th of March. Supposedly they've been experiencing some type of power cycling issues. Who know but I definitely agree it's not something to hold your breath for!!
