Just got my KPC650 and the installer doesn't go past detecting the insertion of the KPC650 because the card appears to be detected as an NEC USB PCI to USB Open host controller.

It seems very similar to this guys trouble.

Any one else know of incompatibilites with the Kyocera kPC 650 and Tablet PC 2005 operating system?

It's detected as a NEC USB PCI to USB Open Host Controller under XP as well (well, my v620 is, at any rate). I don't think that is the issue.

I seem to recall that you must install the software entirely *before* you insert the card for the first time (or perhaps it prompts during installation?), so that it can recognize the various devices on the card that are attached to the USBus inside the card.

Is the tablet PC up to date with all Windows Update downloads?

I suggest removing the devices from the device manager, uninstalling the software, shutting down, removing the card, rebooting, reinstalling the software and then reinserting the card.

Just some general things that sometimes work...

Oca,

Diddo on the V620 showing up as a NEC USB PCI to USB Open Host Controller under XP installed on my Laptop as well.

You are welcome to try mine in your tablet and we can also compare signal strength differences if any between cards?

Tim
