EVDO PCMCIA Card with USB Modem built-in

This is only available in New Zealand, however, if it ever becomes available in the US (Verizon & Sprint), it could offer solution for laptops that do not have a PCMCIA slot (e.g. iBook, PowerBook 12 inch, others).

Basically, the PCMCIA EVDO card has a USB port on it which allows you to plug the PCMCIA card via the included USB cable directly into the USB port. The card comes with Windows and Pocket PC drivers.

As of 07/08/2005, this card is only available in New Zealand, it will not work on Verizon & Sprint. Perhaps, Sierra / Kyocera / Novatel will create a product like this - it may open the doors for more customers
