Specs refer to two USB "slots"... Hmmm wonder if there's a chance for U720 compatibility?

| I'm more curious why companies are scheduling new routers for release w/ a pcmcia slot only instead of both a pcmcia and express card slot. I guess the adapters can be used but there aren't that many people out there that know about them. USB and express cards are the way of the future/ well eventually anyway. |

| Well this certainly looks promising!! Michael, please put me on the list for ordering one of these when you get it if it supports Sprint's U720. I see this as potentially being a KR1 killer especially considering the "new technology" that will allow it to recognize new new cards without having to upgrade the firmware. Also, the possibility of another router that supports USB connected devices? (if it indeed winds up doing so and I really can't believe there's a USB connection on it for looks!) This is exciting too since the KR1 supports such a limited few, hard to find USB devices. Maybe this will push Kyocera to get up to speed with their supported devices. |

MB6000 works great with VPN, we have many customers using it with VPN, important having the latest firmware - we update before shipping.
The MB6800 isn't available yet.
I saw a prototype of the MB6800 around 12 months ago, so not sure what the delays might be. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier

The MB6800 is in mass production. Mike has received the first shipment of the MB6800 last week.
The MB6800 works with all Sprint, Verizon, and Cingular PCMCIA cards and MiniExpress cards with a caddy.
We have tested the MB6800 to work with both Novatel U720 USB as well as the new Sierra Wireless AC595U Rev.A USB modem. We got over 1Mbps DL speed.
The USB interface also works with PPC6700 EVDO Smart Phone.
Try other USB phones and new PCMCIA cards, you will be surprised how many cards and devices are supported by the MB6800. |

Eagerly awaiting review--I WANT ONE! If it does VPN w/U720, sold.
Michael, how will availability be on these over the next couple weeks?
TIA,

We still have a few left, it may take a few more weeks to get more
This isn't a sales pitch, BUT if you want one, order soon, or you may have to wait 2-3 weeks.
We are in the middle of writing out detailed review of the products. It does work with the U720. We will be testing VPN over the next few days - however, all previous Top Global products work great with VPN. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |
