| I recently got my evdo connection running and now want to cancel my dialup account but I cant find any info on alltel email addresses. Does my service come with email addresses other than my #@alltel.com. The guy at the store where I bought my service from is totally clueless about the data packages. |

Nope,They give service,Yeah! Its up to you for your e-mail account. If you had AOL, you can cancel your service and still keep the address for your E-mail. I have had Hotmail by Msn.com and my wife uses Yahoo. I've heard that G-mail is good too! That is by Google and I'm thinking that if MSn does screw the windows Live Mail up I can always go to G-mail as a couple of friends have it and say it is really good.I know there is other e-mail servers out there that are free but can't tell you anything as I never used them, but I have heard of them.IWon comes to mind but I know nothing about them. Yahoo used to be a spamers dream, but they have better spam guards in place than they used to.
Good luck and have a good one. Capt |

| Tried to get gmail but they want cell# so they can text an activation code. Thats not gonna happen, thats all I need is telemarketers wasting my minutes. And I have actually had people not want to deal with me on ebay when using annonymouse email accts like yahoo. Cant say that I blame them. Can you use outlook with yahoo type email accts? |

gmail requires a cell to text your activation code to ... another gmail user can invite you and I don't believe you need the cell then
My girlfriend uses outlook with gmail and yahoo ... I don't know the details, but it is possible |

| Aircard # wont work because you cant get text messages. Wouldnt it be cool if you could call your aircard# from your cell and do a highspeed connection between the two. Like a 56k modem can but faster. |

I use Yahoo.
But you have to sign up for their up graded service to get rid of all the advertisements and to be able to use it on Outlook Express.
They charge $20 a year for the service but it is good service. _________________ Ron |

| Yeah, I went with Yahoo myself as windows live and IE7 were slow and stop. I changed to Firefox and Yahoo.com, I've had no problems since. Both are loading fast and things seem to work better. I think Microsoft needs to work out the bugs and get there service to work good then they could make changes in tweaking. Now they have this Vista op system and they don't even have XP 2 working smooth yet. I guess thats why Bill gates left. He knew that Vista was a pos and that they couldn't or won't get the bugs out of XP or there other services. The answer, Is drop Vista and FIX XP and that would give them time to work out the kinks in that vista op. You would've thought they would have learned from when they first brought out XP. I guess they don't learn from there mistakes! Yes I tried to use hotmail with Firefox but it seems slower than yahoo. I don't know what they did but I solved the problem by going with a different address. I know that IE6 is still in there somewhere as when this thing goes to Microsoft for updates ie comes up. even though Firefox is default. Sometimes, the more they try and make things better, the worse things get. Capt. |
