A few reports here on problems with Vista and the content of this web page raise a few questions.

I think the article raises the issue of Microsoft trying to control our computers for the benefit of the entertainment industry and to prevent copyright violations. Thus MS has created a real monster of checks and disabling hardware and drivers if the checks fail.

So, what will Vista do if it finds someone sending TV content over the internet to their work computer running Vista? Will it disable the broadband card, graphics cards, sound cards, etc?

What about showing a movie trailer from Apple's web site, you might try this if you are using Vista. I don't know if it is DRM protected:

I am downloading it now on my U720 and MacBook Pro and it is working just fine although the download is taking some time for the HD file size. Will it download and run OK under Vista with the older cards? Let us know.
