Good Evening All,
I was wondering if anyone has had any luck connecting their BlackBerry 7130e as a Data Modem via Bluetooth. Is this possible? If not, does anyone know if it is possible to use an older BT phone (ie. Samsung A920) which supports the data modem via bluetooth in conjunction with ones current blackberry data plan?
I currently have a Toshiba U100 mounted in my 2003 Acura TL and the laptop's audio being sinked via A2DP Bluetooth to my Pioneer 9800BT Deck for some stunning sound quality without wires. My BlackBerry also connects with the deck to allow for hansfree communication. Now the last phase of my project is to get the internet up and running so that i can listen to internet radio feeds, check email and do other fun stuff. I have an unlimited data plan for my blackberry so data consumption is not an issue. Everything works fine when using the USB cable, but I have my blackberry holstered to my roof and the BB's 6-Foot USB cable is both hazardous and annoying when driving. (I prefer not to mount the blackberry+usb cable anywhere else as a solution as it causes clutter and looks ugly)
Can anyone help????
Just a thought: Would Bell be able to tie my blackberry's data plan to my old phone (A920) which works as a bluetooth modem?
Thanks in Advance
