The driver submitted by Mac.Intouch for the U720 is in the middle of the page or you can do a find for dmg.

To download the file you must enter the code just above the submit button into the text field and then click on the submit button...

I have modified the installer instructions inserting a few notes here and there but retaining the main outline. Sometimes an error will require that you unplug the modem and restart. And if you restart with the modem plugged in, it willl not work until you unplug it and then plug it in again. That's the way it works... Not knowing this might drive you crazy.

If you follow the instructions correctly and it still does not work you may have a software conflict or a hardware problem. Keep the faith, it will work...

This installer is for Novatel Wireless Merlin 720 and Ovation 720 USB modem.

System Requirements
Mac with G3 or newer CPU.
Mac OS X 10.3.2 or newer.
Installation

Unplug the Merlin or Ovation modem. Your mac will not work properly if it is plugged in during a restart.

Run the Novatel720.pkg file to install drivers on your Mac.

Restart your Mac.

Insert Novatel Ovation 720 into the USB port or Merlin 720 into the PCMCIA slot. If you do not insert it now the following steps will not work nor will they work if it was plugged in during the restart.

Under the Apple menu select Preferences...

Click on the Network icon. Location: Automatic and Show: Network Status. You do not need to create a new Location since there is only one phone number and the card contains your connection info.

Novatel Wireless CDMA should show up in the list. Select it if it is not selected. It should highlight.

Click the Configure... button.

[If the Configure... button does not work, unplug the modem and restart. Then Begin again after the Restart your Mac line above.]

PPP settings pane
Enter your Provider. Create an easy to understand name such as Sprint 720U as this will show up in the Internet Connection Menu.

Enter #777 for telephone number. No other information is needed as it is stored in your card’s memory.

Click the PPP Options... button. I uncheck if needed the Connect Automatically as this throws up a dialog when the modem is not connected and Disconnect if idle since I want a continuous connection. Click OK.

Click Apply Now. Important or your settings will dissappear.

Modem settings pane
Choose Sprint PCS Vision modem script from drop-down menu.
Uncheck "Enable error correction..."
Uncheck "Wait for dialtone..."
Check "Show modem status..." so that the telephone icon shows on the menu bar and you can connect/disconnect using it.

Click Apply Now. Important or your settings will dissappear.

To Connect
Click the Modem Status icon (telephone icon) at the top of your screen in the menu bar and select the name you gave your Service Provider. Note that many different modem settings can show up in this list.

Select Connect. Alternately, when connected, click Disconnect.

Or you can select Open Internet Connect and use its window to choose your connection type. Click the Connect button and it should tell you it is connecting to the provider and then show you connection information.

To Remove driver or to Reinstall the driver
Delete the Novatel720.pkg package receipt in /Library/Receipts.
Delete the Novatel720.kext kernel extension in the /System/Library/Extensions folder.
Restart your Mac.[/url]

I can't get the drivers from Mac.Intosh to download. The dmg fails to mount. The zip won't decompress. Both fails seconds after the download starts.

Can these files be found anywhere else?
