just a little tidbit I came across the other day, not sure if it's been posted here before..
When you do an activation using vzaccess manager, it may say "activation successful" but not actually have been successful. Look for other messages before this, such as "updating nam parameters", to indicate that it's actually performing the work of activation.
also, remember that you want the best possible signal during activation. step out on the balcony, and activate, and it should start working inside, signal permitting. |

actually the card "activation" is only updating the PRL file for the card. its does not activate the account in the switch. that can only be done by verizon personnel.
i had a problem that i kept getting authentication errors when i tried to connect. i activated the card 3 times successfully, but my account wasnt activated at the switch level. after it was activated, everything worked like a charm |
