Your PC is not listed on the ones with a known problem:
Sierra Wireless PC5220 / AC580 Compatibility Issues
You may want to search here in the forums, I recall that someone had a similar problems on a IBM and there were able to disable the PCI Bus Power Management and that solved it for them. Search on bios and you will find the IBM thread.
You may also need to call VZW tech support to see if there are any known issues with your model and AC580. Post your results here. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

When you inserted the card, did Windows recognize new hardware?
Can you check the device manager, are there any ! (exclamation points) next to any of your devices?
On the back of your AirCard580, there are three numbers, can you give the number closest to the bottom of the card? This is the electronic serial number of your card in hexadecimal format. |

When i inserted the card windows can recognize it for a few seconds until the computer freeze.
After i restart the computer and the card is still pluged in i can go to the device manager and see the name of the card with a exclamation point next to it...and whan i try to reinstall it the pc just freeze at the same point.
the nunber in the bottom of the card is: 601F8459
Ill try to look it up in the forum. |

OK, thank you. Gotta check something out re the ESN. I will reply again tomorrow morning. The AC580 installs multiple devices and it appears your computer is recognizing some of the devices but not all of them.
When did you get your AC580? Have you been using the AC580 in another computer, where it worked, and then you upgraded to this NEC and it has never worked in this computer? |
