um.. phonescoop.com?

if the difference in price is not an issue, i'd recommend the i730. The 6600 has a notoriously crappy speaker, and has trouble sending e-mail unless you use wireless sync.

Jay, welcome to EVDOforums!

I would expect that you will start seeing many more comments on the i730, since it JUST started shipping to business customers and will be available next week to everyone else.

I use the XV6600 for email and it works great, in fact, I have 3 different accounts and I don't have any complaints. The only complaint I had was with the battery life, however, that was solved by this:

Michael,

Two questions along this line. First, with a Verizon EVDO account, can you also have a separate XV6600 and have a phone no. for it; and then use it as you would a regular cellphone? Second, are we limited to just laptops for the EVDO capable cards, or can you also put one into a PowerMac G4 or an iMac G4 flatscreen?

Sorry about the newbie state of my knowledge. Recently retired and would like to use a desktop computer (iMac, in particular) at home, a laptop (Powerbook G4, in particular) while traveling, and have a cell phone available while traveling for receiving and placing calls.

Many Thanks,
Bob

Michael, do you know whether the samsung i730 has a battery life extending solution of some kind such as the one you describe below for the xv6600?
