| What about the Samsung M610? It is BT 2.0 and utilizes EVDO. One of the sales guys at a Sprint store told me that a Samsung rep identified it as a Rev A phone, but I'm not sure if that's true. |

| The phone needs the MSM6800 chipset to support Rev. A. The latest Sanyo M1 is a MSM6550. Sprint talks about Rev. A coming out in 07 if you read their presentation slides from the December developer conference. I'm guessing it will show up April/May and it should kick some ass! |

My A900 works well enough for me not to have "new phone fever" but the moment the new Sprint Expresscard or a Bluetooth 2.0 phone comes out with Rev. A I will be one of the first in line. Ooops, scratch that; I have a Macbook Pro C2D and would have to check for compatability. _________________ Sony T250 1.2 Ghz & 17" Powerbook 1.5 Ghz |

No RevA phones yet.
There are rumors that the upcoming Treo 755p will have RevA but there are conflicting sources on that.
The upcoming 6800 Windows Mobile PDAphone is also rumored to have RevA, replacing the 6700.
There is also this badass 'communicator' that reportedly has WiMAX and RevA. But Korea only at first.

The PPC-6800 has been released by Telus. There's a thread with pics on pdaphonehome.com in the PPC-6800 forum. It's THIN compared to the 6700.

I'm really hoping for Sprint to show up with a Rev A phone that fits into my pants pocket -- not a Trio or Windows CE device.
Anyone have any ideas/rumors on when this might happen? The network is there, but I don't want to get a data card or a geek device to get the speed; I prefer phone as modem.
Yes, this is a lifestyle-type decision, but I really would love to have the speed of Rev A without having to get something to hang off my belt or having to shove a card into my laptop... |

I keep my Treo in my pocket and don't notice it. Some find it clunky though.
Only phones I've seen coming with RevA are the PPC6800 and possibly the Treo 755p. May take a while for non-smartphones to get RevA. Wouldn't be surprised if Sprint skips to CDMA/WiMAX phones. |

The PPC 6800 Mogul may be rev A as soon as October. I believe it will be the first Rev A phone. What is more, it has Bluetooth 2.0, which means it may be the fastest phone, the fastest phone as modem, and the fastest phone as modem with Bluetooth.
I played with it briefly before returning it for an LG Musiq, because without multimedia and without Rev A, it was just another nice PDA.
When Rev A and the bluetooth fixes comes out this phone will have it all, and then I may just upgrade.

| Here it is... well into November, still no Rev A. on the Mogul, or the recently introduced Touch for Sprint. Rumor mill says don't expect the ROM update until mid 2008. |

Although some are insisting that the Touch is upgradable to Rev A, HTC's own site doesn't say so in the specifications, whereas the Mogul does.
So the touch may well be upgradeble, but i can still see no hint of it even from the manufacturer.
I am still stunned that Sprint can spend so much money and time on a network and not have a phone for it...at all???

| While the lower latency and improved upload performance of REV A would be nice, the thing I'm really interested in is the ability to use the internet and receive calls that Rev A is supposed to give. This is really the only thing that the GSM / HSDPA world has had on Sprint (other than global compatibility). |
