Three questions/issues:

1) I just got the Palm TX is because of its ability to connect to the internet with wifi and bluetooth. I'm ready to upgrade my phone, and would appreciate suggestions on Sprint phones that y'all like to use with a Palm. I considered a Treo, but I really didn't want both functions contained in the same device.

I was looking at the Samsung A900M, but I'm thinking it may have more bells and whistles than I really need. I know the battery life is not particularly good. It's on sale before Dec 31 for $29.99 (phone in to get this deal). I'm tempted just because it's so cheap.

2) Do I need EVDO on my phone? (I have it on the aircard I use with my laptop.) I'm thinking I do if I plan to connect to the internet with my Palm through the phone with bluetooth.

3) Also, when I told the guy at the Sprint store that I wanted to get on the internet with my Palm by connecting to the phone through bluetooth, he said that qualifies as "using the phone as a modem" and would incur costs of $40 per month extra. (The trouble with Sprint is that every person you talk to tells a different story. I know because I went to two different Sprint stores this morning PLUS talked to Sprint-in-the-Sky. Anyway, this was not meant to be a Sprint Rant...)

I already pay $15 per month to connect to the internet ON my phone, but the store guy said that was different from "using the phone as a modem" and connecting THROUGH the phone.

Any experience with this?

Thanks.
