Any Verizon EVDO phone with a Mac?

I'm trying to get short-term broadband internet service with Verizon. If I use the EVDO express card with my MacBook Pro, I'll need to get a contract... but if I use a broadband capable phone, like the LGvx8300 (or others), I can just do it month to month...

Are any of the phones compatible with OS X? The rep told me that they didn't work with Macs... I was hoping there was a way. We moved and there is no way to get any wired internet access here for a while (that means I don't even have a phone, so no dialup either).

Any mac solution? TIA,

go to vzam.net, it shows everything that you can *officiially* tether for verizon, and whether or not it has mac connection software.

I have a Treo 700wx from Verizon and a macbook pro. Tethering works flawlessly through Bluetooth.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread but I need help getting a treo 700w and a macbook pro to tether and connect for internet use. Does anyone have settings for this type of set up?

My Settings that don't work:

Number: #777
Modem Script: Verizon SC5220
Username: Blank
Password: Blank

The phone is set up by OSX to use for internet access using the bluetooth setup application.

Any help will be appreciated
