|
|
Hi,
New to the forum, can't find a FAQ so sorry if this is a stupid question.
PowerBook G4, up to date software, got the CDU-550 installed, recognized and 'connected' but can't actually get online. Internet Connect tells me that I have 'ISP' (green light) but all other lights are red.
ANY ideas? I'm really stuck if I cna't get this bad boy working by Monday AM! Help please!

Quick question.
Do you have a Windows PC that you can install the included Franklin Connection Manager? 99% of the time, Sprint has sent some reprovisioning info to the card and sticking it in a Windows PC receives and fixes that problem. We activate all CDU-550s on Windows before we send them, but we have seen a few that need it a second (and final) time.
If you have access to a MacBook/Pro running BootCamp that works too.
What version of Mac OS are you running? _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I do have a Windows PC I can access...so I guess I'll give that a try. But I don't think that provisioning is the problem because it 'connects' but simply won't transmit. And now, further attempts have led to a new exciting problem--an error message telling me the 'device has been withdrawn' or the USB port has shut down.

Install Franklin Connection Manager on the PC, goto Device Infor and Diagnostics and click Update User Profile When done, connect and see that you can hit a web page. If you can, move to your mac and it should be fine. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

I've gotten a PC, followed all your instructions and I had EXACTLY the same experience--that is, its recognized, it loads, and it would receive a signal, had all the right registration info, etc. But would not load a web page...and after that one try, it wouldn't even stay connected for more than 30 seconds before the modem would automatically shut down, disconnect, restart. I tried several times.
Anything to do before I return this??
Disappointed and Frustrated,
GTM |
