Cant seem to figure out how to lock to EVDO on my KPC650 ...

Sprint and Verizon have the option in their software

Signal occasionally switches between EVDO and 1xRTT

Think the handoff may be rebooting my KR1 router

Any thoughts ?

I dont think you can lock EVDO with Alltel's software

Has anyone tried this:

http://www.smithmicro.com/default.tpl?group=product_full&sku=QLMWA0EE

I called about it a while back and the nice folks at Smith micro said if it doesn't do what you want it to do, they will give you a refund. My old lady
wont let me $pend any more $$$ on EVDO right now.

Anyone want to give it a try?

I loaded the Verizon Software and tried my Alltel KPC650 .... IT WORKS!
When you hit connect it gives a dialup networking type screen with the Alltel username already populated and then I click OK and it just works.
I get connected to Altell network at EVDO speeds here in the city.
Now just need to search for how to lock evdo on VZ software when im in the boonies and Im in business. I'll keep you posted on the results.

Will the card stay locked on EVDO when put into a KR1?

When I try to download the software it asks for a Verizon phone number. I tried my Alltel phone number, but that didn't work. Any suggestions?
