A friend reported last night that his Treo is showing EVDO in the upper State Street of Santa Barbara. It has been a long wait!
No details at this time. |

Most of central Pa is covered depending on what side of the mountain your on. I needed a Yagi to get broadband where I'm located but Coverage is available in most parts of Curwensville, Clearfield, Houtzdale, Osceola Mills, Phillipsburg PA.

Broadband Rev A in Clarksville, Tennessee, finally! It couldn't have come at a better time since my contract ends next month. Sprint doesn't have broadband here yet, so this makes my decision easier. I'll more than likely stick with Verizon. It looks like Verizon's coverage maps are lagging behind as it still shows just 1xrtt coverage for Clarksville.
UPDATE: Add Charlotte, Dover, and Erin to the broadband list -- all in northwest Middle Tennessee. Verizon's maps still don't reflect these changes.

| Have been seeing intermittent EV-DO signals in the Santa Maria, CA area over the past couple weeks. Just spoke to a salesperson at the local Verizon store who said EV-DO is being installed and tested and should be operational throughout San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties sometime in June. |

| Most verizon phones, with the expection of some blackberrys, only have REV 0 capabilities....my voyager only has REV 0, thats what the blue on the map means, EVDO REV 0..not REV A....am i right? |

After living with the 1xRTT at home for almost a year, it was a nice surprise when I came home from the being on the road and viola!, BroadbandAccess appears in the VZAccess Manager and with 4 bars to boot! I was only getting 2 bars on the NationalAccess signal before.
I was resigned to building a directional antenna to try to capture the EVDO from the tower 9 miles west of me at Centerville.
I wonder where the new tower is and how much it cost VZW to put in service.
I should be hitting that 5 gig ceiling every month now easily.
Now I can think about a router and wi-fi in the woods out here! |

| We have rev A in most of Nw Ohio including home areas of Oak Harbor, Port Clinton, Marblehead, Bellevue, and Fremont. The Toledo metro area has been rev A for a while now! We disconnected our cable modem and we access the net by UsB modem or blackberry exclusively! Works great!!!! |

Hello. I live in Belews Creek, NC area. This morning my phone kept going off line for several hours. We are about 15 miles north east of Winston Salem, NC. When the service came back up, I noticed my Treo 700P had an E with 4 bars and I thought that couldn't be as it never did that before.
I slipped in my Verizon Broadband Card and EVDO RevA baby. Sweet!
Max download was: 1.24MB and max upload is around 300K, inside my house which is brick construction.
Could not be happier! |
