Does anyone know if alltel sells (or will sell) a Rev A card? I was told that the new EV sites that they are lighting up are all Rev A. But the KPC650 that I bought only seems to support Rev 0 (uploads seem throttled around 100). Is it possible to buy a Rev A card from another vendor and have it activated on Alltel's network?

I think that as of now, the Kyocera KPC650 is the only card Alltel is offering and as far as I've been able to determine (without actually having one) it is NOT Rev A capable. They don't appear to have made anything public as to when/where/how they will even begin to roll out Rev A. As for your second question . . . I think the answer would be a resounding I WISH! But I'm pretty certain that ain't gonna happen . . . . however, please let me know if you find out otherwise. Exclamation

Alltel currently does NOT have any Rev A EVDO on their network. It is all Rev 0 They are testing it is a couple of select markets. Currently VZN and Sprint only have it in a few larger markets. This is according to Alltel data support.
Therefore Alltel does NOT have any Rev A modems available.

Alltel will be carrying the UtStarcom 5750 rev. A data card - starting March 1st.
Alltel EVDO Rev. A appears to be working, even though it has not launched in the Tampa FL market.
