Hi All,
I have a Kyocera KR-1 and a KY PC-650 card from Alltel. I have had the service for just about a year.

While I was still in Florida I was able to just leave the KR-1 on and had wireless service constantly thoughout my home. I never had to unpower the KR and turn it back on. I only had one bar of cell power on both my wife's and my phones, yet I still could receive at around 400K, as tested by several websites, etc.

I am now on the road, in our motorhome-fulltime, and traveling. However, we are wintering in AZ and I am very near a cell tower and get full 5 bars on both phones. If I plug the card directly into the laptop, I can connect and it shows a very powerful signal and will remain connected. I leave my computer on all the time. (yes, I know some folks disagree, but after having been a computer consultant, full time, for 30+ years, I amof the opinion that it is best for the computer).

Anyway, I can remain connected to EVDO for a day or two and then it will drop; sometimes, it will only remain connected for a few minutes. I have installed a micro switch so I can shut it down and reboot it (the KR-1) without pulling the plug.

I have spoken with Alltel and they don't have a clue. I have contacted Kyocera who sent me to DLink and They don't have a clue.

I did have to replace my first KR under warranty, but this one has never seemed to work correctly.

Had anyone any ideas?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
