Are there any USB modems available which would be compatible with a windows based PDA running Windows Mobile 5?

I would really be interested in this also. Would love to have EVDO on my iPaq 4700 instead of having to connect through my phone with bluetooths limited capabilities.

Bluetooth is limited in it's connection speed to 115kbps (at least until bluetooth 2.0) so my web speeds on my PocketPC are limited to that speed. Those speeds are alright for checking email and some web browsing but not so great when it comes to things like remote desktop. I would just like to get the full potential out of my EVDO connection, which averages for me around 500 - 700kbps, on my 4700.

The new Verizon USB720 Modem by Novatel is advertised as "compatible with... notebooks, desktops AND HANDHELDS via an industry standard USB port." Some handheld devices have full master/host USB ports.
Do Verizon, Novatel and/or any third parties provide connection software and/or EVDO USB modem drivers (for the new USB720) that run on any handheld operating systems?
