| Ok after reading and trying the SEARCH feature I am still in the dark about EVDO support for Alltel customers on Sprint's Network. I am in Florida and can connect to EVDO when I am in my home area. If I go to Orlando or West Palm I am back down to 1x! Is there a way to force the card to roam on Sprint in EVDO or am I stuck with Verizon at 1x? Sorry if this question has been covered but I did attempt to search and came up with nothing. |

Slower 1xRTT data roaming now works on a Sprint card roaming on Alltel. I just got back from Tampa area and was able to roam. Not sure if it works yet on Alltel cards. There was a report on pcsintel.com that Alltel users have been able to hack the PRL table and add Sprint towers, forcing EVDO roaming on Sprint.
Looking at Alltel's 'future' map, it would appear they plan on EVDO roaming on Sprint's network sometime in January.
