gpsd & google map

Hi All,

Thank you and congratulations for the job you are doing here. Not sure if this is the right place but I need to create a live community map of dynamic
KR1 users on my google map like this one http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/misc/google_maps/dynamic_markers.html

I had the following suggestions:

- *.kml files sent to my FTP server ?
- *.gpx files sent to my FTP server ?
- http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/ ?
- cron jobs to refresh ?

You need some way to live-update the GPS data feed. Look at the two gpsd discussion threads for what a modified KR1 with a GPS can do (or do a private message to me).

Right now you can track me on GoogleEarth since I have a KML generator, but it also does a "fly-to" and I think you would just need an icon. (I also have a plain google-map link).

Also, the raw NMEA gps information is available as a data stream.
