I received my KR1 ( ordered from here ) and updated the firmware. I am running a KPC 650 card with booster antenna ( from booster-antenna.com) getting 1xrtt service with decent bandwidth ( 60 to 70 % signal most days).

I can't get the KR1 to connect to the server, but i get the kpc 650 to connect immediately while in the laptop. An alltel rep told me the login format was my phone number for the card and alltel for the password, but that has not been successful.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ps. I ordered the unit on monday afternoon after 3 and I missed the first delivery attempt tuesday morning before noon... quick service.

When you mention that you're on 1xRTT, are you roaming onto another provider's network?

"I see that you are one of our customer, we are emailing you some step by step directions to get the KR1 working with Alltell, so please check your email."

The older KR1 RK1002 firmware sometimes required authentication parameters for Alltel customers. RK1006 doesn't normally require this. It looks like you ordered the RK1002 version which ships with an update disc.

Thank you,

I am in Alltel's 1xrtt coverage area, no roam and no other evdo carriers to roam on either....

my sid here is 244, and after browsing some PRL interpretations i have not found someone to roam on here.

I corrected my login info, saved and restarted the router, and it took right off..

Thank you again, appreciate the service Very Happy
